My Background

I've spent my career learning what makes a spirit work.

My background began in chemistry and developed into more than a decade working across spirits development and production. Along the way, I've developed recipes and processes, worked through the realities of production, led production teams, and helped turn concepts into finished products.

That experience shapes how I approach consulting today. A spirit isn't just a recipe. It's an interaction between raw materials, aroma, flavor, equipment, process, people, and the decisions required to reproduce the liquid consistently.

My work combines technical distilling knowledge with a sensory approach to aroma, flavor, and botanical development. That means looking beyond whether a process simply works and asking what each decision contributes to the experience of the finished spirit.
